Quigs Cancer Fund

Jack Quigley is in need of our help.  Most of you know Jack as youth football coach of the East Olean Bulldogs.  He is also a avid volunteer for the Big 30 Charities and Big 30 Scholarship fund.  Unfortunately he has not been able to give it his all since last summer.   Last year he suffered a severe bone infection that kept him bed ridden for 5 months as it was fought.  This spring the bone infection had returned and he was also diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer.  He is currently getting treated for both requiring a lot of medicine for the two separate treatments.   In addition Jack is currently receiving chemotherapy and radiation treatments.  The radiation treatments require 5 treatments a week in Rochester NY.   Jack has been unable to drive himself, so he is relying on friends to drive him up, and staying with friends to ease the burden on the driving duties.

A little more about Jack.  He is a husband to Christine and a father to Casey.  He has a golden retriever, Hank, that he loves to take on walks.  Lately Hank gets to help Jack recover from treatments, before the next round.  Jack also enjoys going to camp to enjoy the outdoors, and fish.  As I mentioned before, he volunteers with the Big 30.  It requires him to go and observe games throughout the fall.  Jack grew up in Olean. He played football for the Olean Huskies.  He played in the Big 30 game, and eventually went on to play football in college for Ferrum.  After college he work as a painter for many years.  Jack would drop everything for anyone that was in need.  He never asked of anything in return.

I am Jack’s Nephew Chris and through my conversations with Jack over the past few weeks, I have discovered Jack is in need of help.  The medical bills are stacking up from the financial burden of his current health.  Jack is a proud man but he is in agreement that he needs help.  So we have set up this go fund me for Jack and his wife Christine to pay for the current and final bills from this cancer treatments, as well as the bone infection medications and treatments.  Please consider helping Jack financially during this current health and financial crisis.
