Somos colegas de una maestra estudiantíl Latinx excepcional llamada Diana Castellanos. A pesar de los varios retos que se presentan en la educación actualmente, Diana se ha comprometido 100% a ser maestra bilingüe, porque, cómo dice la maestra Diana, "la cultura cura." Es decir, quiere sanar el dolor que sienten tantos estudiantes al nunca ver a una maestra que se parece a ellos, ni que sabe comunicarse con ellos en su idioma natal. Diana será esa maestra.
La única barrera entre Diana y su sueño es $3500 para la matrícula, que se tiene que pagar el 15 de octubre. Queremos hacerlo posible para que se realice su sueño, y ¡ojalá que sea en nuestra escuela, Nuestro Mundo! Como maestras, somos incansables cuando nos enfrentamos con una barrera. ¡Por favor ayúdenos a convertir este sueño en realidad para Diana!

We are colleagues of an exceptional Latinx student teacher named Diana Castellanos. Despite the many challenges in education today, Diana has committed herself 100% to becoming a bilingual teacher, because, as she says, "culture cures," by which she means, it is healing for students who never see teachers who look like them to finally see one who does. And, how much sweeter when that teacher shares their native language, too. Diana will be that teacher.
The only barrier standing between Diana and this dream is $3500 in tuition costs, due by October 15, 2020. We want to do what we can to make sure she realizes her dream, preferably at our school, Nuestro Mundo! As teachers, we are relentless when it comes to knocking down barriers. Please help make this dream a reality for Diana!
