On August 26, Christina Quick, who is newly pregnant with her 9th child, was diagnosed with breast cancer. Christina and her husband Bill live in Battle Creek, MI where Bill owns a small alarm company. Together they homeschool their eight children, Liam (17) who will be heading to college in the fall, Aidan (15), Cullen (12), Eoin (10), Bram (7), Saryn (5), Breckyn (3) and Sayer (1.5). They are members of Zion Lutheran Church LCMS in Marshall, MI.

Christina will be receiving further treatment at the University of Michigan under the care of doctors experienced in treating pregnant women with cancer. From there she will learn the stage of cancer and more about future treatment.

Funds raised will assist the family with medical bills and expenses: gas and food money, post-operative clothing and any other needs that might arise as they support Christina through her cancer journey. O Lord, the eyes of all look to you for daily bread. Just as you care for the lilies of the field, meeting all their needs as they arise, please care for the Quick family. Your will is better than ours for Your child, Christina. You have triumphed over sin and the grave with the death and resurrection of Your Son, Jesus. Please grant to the Quick family Your peace, which knows no limits, and if it is Your will grant her healing and recovery. In Jesus Name. Amen
