Quiana's Dance Quest to Oahu

​Hi everyone, my name is Anne, Quiana's super proud Godmother. I have set up this Go Fund Me to try to help Quiana attend a Dance Conference, an experience of a lifetime.

Quiana is a very young talented dancer, and her mom is always so proud to share her accomplishments. When Quiana was recently asked why she loved to dance so much, her response was, “Because dance makes me feel like my most confident and authentic self.” I am in awe that she has discovered this at such young age. Confidence and finding their true authentic self is something so many adults still strive for!

Quiana is so dedicated to dance and spends​ over 10 hours ​a week taking classes at Evolutions School of Dance. She studies several styles of dance from contemporary, lyrical, and jazz to hip-hop. Quiana also trains in classical ballet and recently passed her Intermediate ​Cecchetti exam.

This year, Quiana is having a great start to her dance competition season! In the last couple of weeks, Quiana has earned an Overall Top Score in her division – twice!! She also received Most Entertaining and Most Promising Dancer, one of which came with a scholarship and a special invite to attend a dance training in Oahu, Hawaii this August! She has been selected along with other TOP dancers across the country.

On this trip, Quiana will be attending private classes from the top choreographers in Hawaii from contemporary, lyrical, jazz, hip hop, musical theatre and the famous Polynesian Hula dance. She will also get to do some sightseeing around the island of Oahu and an awesome private photoshoot which she has earned from all her hard work and dedication.

Quiana is so passionate about dance and I would love for her to be able to have this amazing opportunity.

She was only aware of and awarded this unique invite a few weeks ago and she hasn’t had any time to prepare financially. Nor will she have time to in the coming months due to school, her other dance competitions and classes. I know that Quiana would benefit from this rare occasion, and she definitely will come back from her trip with new friendships, and a new outlook that will help her to grow and become a stronger and more well-rounded dancer.

When Sheryl told me that Quiana won this, all I could think of is QUIANA MUST GO, this is super awesome!!! I am eager to help​ her​ fundraise to cover any of the costs not included with this award trip​​. I am hoping that you, Quiana’s friends, and family, can also help Quiana get to this Dance Conference in Oahau this August. I promise that your help will go a long way!
