Quiana and Dante's GoFundMe

As many of you know, Dante and Quiana have opened their hearts and home as foster parents. Currently, they are caring a beautiful little girl, providing her with a safe and loving environment, adjusting their lives in order to be fully present for her.

At the same time, Quiana has been on a journey to become a licensed psychologist—a path that has required years of dedication, from graduate school to internships, and now, preparing for the final licensing exam. Quiana is a credit to her profession, and she is filling a critical need as a therapist of color dedicated to serving our community.

If you know Quiana, you know she always shows up for others. Whether organizing a meal train when my son was born, supporting her clients, or providing a home for a foster child, Quiana exemplifies selflessness and care.

Now, it’s our turn to show up for Dante and Quiana. Allowing Quiana to give herself the time and space to fully dedicate to studying for this rigorous licensing exam—a crucial step in her journey as a psychologist—Quiana is taking a leave of absence from seeing clients. This is no small sacrifice, as it places added financial strain on her and her husband, Dante.

I’ve organized this GoFundMe to help alleviate some of that burden and allow Quiana to focus fully on studying. The licensing exam has only a 50% pass rate, but with the right support, I know Quiana can overcome this challenge and continue her invaluable work of providing healing and support to others.
