Quest to save Valerie

It is difficult for me to write this and even more difficult to ask for help. I have started a gofundme for my mother Valerie Asmund who has squamous cell carcinoma. It began on her arm three years ago and has slowly metastasized. No one in the family understood how serious it was becoming.
Always strong and fiercely independent, my mother didn't share her fear or suffering until it became impossible to hide. Fortunately, research shows it is still curable, but the treatment must begin now.
I know Gofundme has been abused in the past, but not when it can help save a life. Any amount, no matter how small, will help get us closer to our goal to helping my mother regain her health. She has so much more to give to this world.
We have found a plastic surgeon that has agreed to remove the tumor. This first step is very important because the vessels leading to the tumor tend to burst and she almost bled to death a couple of days ago. The next step will be to  remove the lymph node.  Once she recovers from the surgeries, the plan is to visit the SanDiegoRed clinic in Mexico.
