Quest for GNF

Donation protected

I put this fundraiser together because of a nearly debilitating desire to run in the Grand National Finals at the end of this month. My amazing wife and some select friends talked me into facing the fact that asking for help is ok.

Those that know me will agree that asking for help is not something I am very good at doing.  LOL

As a private racer, I do not have sponsors that help me pay for the costs.  I am incredibly lucky to have friends and businesses that help me put parts on the bike at reduced costs and then labor when i break things, but the out of pocket prices for items like entry fees, tires, etc... those get really high, especially for an event like the GNF.

let’s face it, I love racing, and I want nothing more than to be a success this weekend.  In a world dominated by those with the means to always have the freshest tires, the most expensive (and smelly) gas, and the fastest bikes, I love scrapping my way to being good out there. The competition is fierce and man I’m learning so much from the really skilled guys out there.

I have always wanted to attend the Grand National Finals, but up to this point, something always got in the way.  Work, family, finances, time, etc.
Most years, i have planned to race, only get a round or two in, then had to set it aside for something more important at the time.

This is a new year and a new level of commitment for me.  I am more excited than ever, and I just want to see if I can.

My goal with this fundraiser is to get the newest and stickiest of tires, splurge on the nicer race gas, and not worry about the costs so i can enter every race that he is qualified to take part in (entry fees are insane!).  My biggest hope is that i, and the rest of the awesome team of hooligan P1 Moto racers, can make a splash here in the coming weeks and maybe line up some support for themselves next year.

I set the goal where I did as I believe it would cover the majority of what we will need in terms of the racing things.  I didn't factor in things like travel and fuel.  Rough breakdown is ($700 entry, $700 tires, $200 fancy fuel... it may be even more, but that felt like a good starting point) It may not be enough, but I also know that every penny will help.

Should the amount go over, I will use that to help the rest of the guys racing with us for things they may need (Once his costs are covered, we can divide it evenly and help the other fellas with money towards gas, tires, etc... or maybe help feed them all throughout the weekend).

The races are Oct 22-25, so I will likely close this just before they start or maybe run it through that weekend and close it afterwards.

Thank you for considering helping.
