The Queer Fish Center

Hi everyone, here in Burlington many LGBT teens feel unwelcome and unsupported. I'm working to change that. I'm Sayer Kirk, a gay 17-year-old and I started The Queer Fish Center. The Queer Fish Center is somewhere for teens to go to find support, to take on leadership roles, to learn about their community and to educate people in and around the county, and to feel safe. To move The Queer Fish Center forward, we are raising funds to file for 501(c)3 status.

EDIT: Now that we have reached our goal, any extra funds will go toward books featuring queer characters, clothes (from Good Will and other Consignment Shops) for a trans clothes swap, a banner/flag for pride and other similar events, and eventually a permanent, brick and mortar location.
