It’s your local dog walker and pet sitter — you know, the gay one! I really hate to be another person clogging up your feed asking for help, but in the post-capitalist hellscape, things are pretty crazy for everyone, including me.
Many of you know I have been involved in pet care one way or another for over a decade. I’ve been meaning to make the jump to making this a full-time business, but I’ve had to tread water for a long time now. Finances go up and down, emergencies happen. Life, uh, finds a way.
I’m SO CLOSE to having Queers and Pets on the books legitimately. I have over 60 clients in the roster. I have booking software ready to go. I have literally THOUSANDS of poop bags!
But I need just a little bit more capital to see this thing through. I know times are tight and the future is uncertain. But if you’re able to donate any amount to helping me achieve success as a queer nonbinary small business owner who just wants to be able to live the dream of petting dogs and cats for a living!

- car repair!!! This is a big one. My Dandy Subaru takes me all over the greater New Orleans area to care for your furry friends, and the streets have not been kind to them. My whole business is in my car. Without it, Queers and Pets wouldn’t happen. I just can’t stress how important my car is to what I do, and right now, Dandy is DRAGGING.
- LLC filing fee. I need a legit tax ID to get The Man off my back!
- Purchasing a web domain. We’re taking this outfit ONLINE, baby!
- Bonding and insurance! Enough said!
- If there are *ANY* funds left, I will put them into advertising!
Those are the big 5. I appreciate any of you who have read this far. Everything is pretty much on fire right now. I know. Once things are up and running and I have some funds to spare, you bet I’ll be passing the buck down!
