Hey everyone, I'm Bhandy and collectively with friends we are raising money for Aya - a queer, working-class, Muslim woman and a survivor of abuse, attempted human trafficking and rape. She is estranged from her family, unhoused and in need of immediate medical & financial aid.
She has faced repetitive misogynistic medical neglect in regards to her disabling endometriosis and adenomyosis, and is working tirelessly to acquire a UK diagnosis. Due to this, she is currently unable to work or to access Universal Credit, and is therefore unhoused, alternating between rough sleeping in unsafe conditions and couch surfing.
We are raising money to cover her living expenses, basic necessities, and hopefully fundraise enough for her to access temporary shelter, feed herself and go to Paris to recover her identification & medical documents, all until she can secure Universal Credit.
Please consider donating as much as you can, as her situation is urgent and extremely precarious.
All Money will be withdrawn to my (Bhandy's) bank account and immediately bank transferred to her, as Aya requests.
