Queer Couple in Need of Emergency Assistance

Hi everyone :) My name is Gwenevier Lefevre (the one in the back). I am a 20-year-old trans woman who is currently living with my boyfriend, Dorian, who is also trans, and our van Crystal. We are in need of some emergency assistance. My main source of income up until about two months ago was through food delivery services. Ever since my van broke down, though, I haven't been able to secure a steady stream of income. I've been receiving assistance from the North County LGBTQ+ Resource Center up to this point, but their funds are depleting, and they won't be able to help much more with the van. I have been working tirelessly to get this van back on the road, as for reasons beyond my control I can't just sell it.

A bit about my circumstances:

Long story short, I was kicked out of my mom's house about two years ago when I was jobless and without a vehicle. She'll tell you it was because of "disrespect," when in reality it was because I refused to deadname and misgender my younger nonbinary sibling. I was able to receive housing assistance through the Resource Center, and eventually I got my hands on the van, which unlocked a lot of opportunities for me due to the lack of walkability in the United States. It still had some issues from the get-go, but it was all I had and it was enough to get around. Still, the sinking feeling in my stomach that "something's still not right and the van could stop working at any moment" was really getting to me, until it actually happened. What started as a simple brake job has turned into uncovering a whole myriad of previously unknown issues with the van. Finding and keeping secure housing was already difficult even with the van, so not having it has been seriously hard on us.

A bit about us:

One of our goals is to eventually open up our own thrift/resale store and use the profits to support our queer community. We are both very creative people, we love making music and art. We both love being outside and in nature, and we also love cooking and baking.

Thank you for taking the time out of your day to even read this. It was uncomfortable and difficult to come to this conclusion as we both hate asking for help, but this is something we really need.
