Queer Black Mother Emergency

Hello Community,

 

First and foremost, the community member in need of support and in an emergency does need their name and important information private for safety, their family's mental health, and legal purposes. We hope that their privacy can be respected at this time.

 

This beloved community member and their daughter have experienced a disastrous car accident. This was a completely unintentional and traumatizing event for all parties involved. Despite the traumatic incident, our community member's family is already having to deal with criminal charges, attorney fees, and court dates compounded with their mental health, physical health, and injuries, and their disrupted everyday life.

 

This Black mother is an active and incredible artist, activist, and educator in the community. Their daughter is a brilliant young mind in college with an entire future ahead of her. This incident can permanently destroy their lives and any help at all is needed and appreciated.

These funds will help towards:

Attorney fees
Medical Care
Lost income for basic needs
Rent for 4 months
