Queer Afro Latin Dance Festival - Gives Back

The Queer Afro Latin Dance Festival (QALDF) was inspired by the Queer Liberation movement, to create an inclusive and safe dance environment for all gender expressions. We utilize dance as a healing and community-building tool for participants who have been marginalized in other spaces, by centering our event around supporting and uplifting LGBTQS+ dancers.

We are PROUD to offer Full Festival Pass Scholarships to 25 LGBTQS+ individuals, who otherwise would not be able to attend the event. As we continue to make QALDF more accessible to those who need it the most, we are asking for support to supplement the Scholarship program and operations, by donating and sharing this opportunity with your network.

For three days (June 9-11), in San Jose CA, Queer, Trans, and ally Afro-Latin dance & music lovers will come together for:

*Panel Discussions

*Queer Dance Competition

*Nightly Themed Parties

*Over 60 hours of music & dance

One 2022 QALDF attendee’s evaluation included: “I was absolutely blown away by the creation of an environment capable of letting the souls of people from all walks of life shine through. Never in my life have I experienced a space that promotes such a safe environment for such a large variety of people!”

Help us bring inclusion to Afro-Latin music & dance culture. Your support will allow LGBTQS+ folks to experience a healing and life-affirming experience. Donors will be highlighted on the event website and marketing material on-site.
