My name is Adrienne Walker, also known as QueenBlaze on YouTube. I am a mother first. Recently, I have had several health issues, which ultimately landed me in critical condition and nearly losing my life if it weren't for the fast actions of my husband, the EMTs who came for me in the ambulance, and the doctors who saved my life.
I was initially being seen for treatable medical issues like severe iron deficiency anemia, hypertension, and several vitamin deficiencies, and then found out I was 5 weeks pregnant. At my 6-week ultrasound, I found out that no fetus had attached and the sac was empty. On October 1, I had a D&C to remove the sac and was expected to physically recover fine.
Then this past Monday, October 6, my husband woke up and found me in the bathroom, and he said my eyes were rolling back in my head. When I got to the hospital, my BP was extremely low, and they found that I was bleeding internally. They rushed me into the operating room and found that the doctor who performed my first surgery had missed an ectopic pregnancy and a large cyst on my ovary. Both of them burst that morning, and they were able to remove that portion of my fallopian tube that had ruptured and one of my ovaries. I nearly bled out in the hospital and would have if the surgeon had not decided to go in and find the bleed instead of waiting on another CT scan and a blood transfusion to finish. They saved my life.
I spent 3 nights in the hospital, but recovery will be slow. Over the past 3 months, the amount of tests, doctor visits, etc., have overwhelmed us to the point all of our accounts are negative, and now I will not be able to do anything for an extended period of time in terms of working.
We are fundraising to cover the overwhelming medical expenses and daily living costs during my recovery period.
