What is Guillain-Barre? Let’s help Hernando

My name is Juan Pablo Rodriguez , the son of two loving parents and the eldest of three siblings. The reason for this go fund me is for the medicine and treatment of my dad Hernando Rodriguez. 

On January 20th they diagnosed him with GUILLAIN BARRE.  It’s a condition that has been unknown during this Covid pandemic and it has attacked many different people. It causes the immune system to attack the nerves. This syndrome produced so many effects on my dad that he was rushed to the ICU of Kendall medical center in less than 24 hours after symptoms began to occur.

The symptoms began to get worse to the point that he was completely paralyzed and could not breath. The doctors decided that it was best that he went under intubation to help him rest and breathe. Eight days later, after going through another treatment named Intravenous Immunoglobulin, we decided to do a surgical procedure called Tracheotomy to avoid infections and to allow him to have a better mobility of his facial muscles. 

On February 1st, he underwent another surgery, a Gastrostomy. A gastrostomy is the creation of an artificial external opening into the stomach for nutritional support or gastric decompression. 

My dad is an admirable man, a hard worker, a warrior, he never gives up and  he always sees the positive side of any obstacle. He believes that if you could do something good for someone, you have the moral obligation to do them good, even if you don’t know them. He is an incredible father, a loving husband and a loyal friend. 

We have absolute faith in God, that my dad will be a testimony of a healing before the world. My mother, my siblings and our friends are day by day praying to God to help us. We know that God has control of many things and everything will be okay. God is loving and merciful. I thank my family and friends for all the support you have given my dad. Mi nombre es Juan Pablo Rodríguez  , hijo de una pareja que se aman y el  mayor de 3 hermanos. El motivo de esta  recaudación es para la medicina y tratamiento de mi papá Hernando Rodriguez.

El día 20 de enero  lo diagnosticaron con GUILLAIN BARRÉ, una enfermedad desconocida que en esta época de COVID , está atacando a diferentes personas. 

Esta afección en la que el sistema inmunológico ataca los nervios causó que en menos de 24 horas mi papá fuera llevado e internado en la ICU en el hospital de Kendall Regional Medical Center.

Llegó a un punto en que estaba totalmente paralizado y no podía respirar , los médicos procedieron a la entubación. 8 días después  tras un tratamiento llamado inmunoglobulina decidieron realizar una traqueotomia para evitar una infección y tenga una mayor movilidad en los músculos faciales. 

El día 1 de febrero le hicieron la gastrostomia para poderlo alimentar. 

Mi Papá es una persona admirable, un luchador , un guerrero , nunca se rinde y siempre ve el lado positivo a cualquier obstáculo . El cree que si puedes hacer algo bueno por alguien , tenía la obligación moral de hacer ese bien , aún así sin conocer a la persona. Es un increible padre , un gran esposo , el mejor amigo.

Tenemos fé absoluta en Dios , que mi papa será testimonio de sanacion ante el mundo entero. Mi mamá , mis hermanos estamos firmes orando , sabemos que Dios tiene el control de todo y todo estará bien. Mi Dios es grande y misericordioso , gracias a toda mi familia y amigos por tanto apoyo , agradezco igualmente a ustedes donantes , Dios los bendiga
