My name is Chris, and I'm reaching out to anyone that can help make the gift of independence a reality. My friend, Josh Burger has had to rely on his family and friends to go anywhere because of his disability.
Josh's condition is very rare and to the best of my knowledge, he's the oldest one in the world with it, let alone thriving well. The condition is called Atelosteogenesis type 3.
He was never supposed to live through the night when he was born, but now almost 27 years later, Josh has been licensed by the FAA as a drone pilot. Josh has started a video documentary service business to cater to the real estate industry.
Independent transportation will help Josh succeed in his new business, as well as help him be just like everyone else.
Why the amount? A new Honda minivan with ramp and handicap conversion will run around $70,000. Then the special electronic hand controlls will have to be added which is an addtional $45,000. All of which is out of pocket.
Josh regularly speaks to all age students at school assemblies, as well to business professionals regarding self image, and overcoming life's obstacles.
Josh has unselfishly been an amazing influence to everyone around him. I'd like nothing more than to see the gift of independently driving a reality come true for Josh.
