Quarantine Quilt Care Fund

We are creating a community Quarantine Quilt. By making this collective art piece we are building kinship across isolation, and supporting solidarity by collecting each other's stories. We are building a testament to the Covid experience, and where we can connect through craft.
We want this quilt to be useful as well as beautiful.
All proceeds collected during the making and exhibition of the quilt will be equally shared between 3 charities at the front of the Covid Crisis. These charities have been chosen due to their critical importance right now; their increased service in relation to Covid, their national and international reach, and their closeness to our hearts.
UPDATE: As the Covid crisis deepens and the increased risk of people from Black and Ethnic Minority communities is clear, and in light of the Black and Black Trans Lives Matter uprising we are adding Black Minds Matter to our fund. This commitment is being made on Friday 19th 2020 and will only apply to funds donated after this date. We feel that the mindful nature of the quilt is supportive to personal therapy and have chosen this charity for its closeness to our cause.
The charities are Women's Aid, The Trussell Trust, Fashion Revolution and Black Minds Matter.
Women's Aid is a grassroots federation working together to provide life-saving services and build a future where domestic violence is not tolerated.
The Trussell Trust is working to stop UK hunger and poverty. Their network of food banks provides emergency food and support to people in crisis.
Fashion Revolution campaigns for systemic reform of the fashion industry with a focus on the need for greater transparency in the fashion supply chain, their work is evermore vital in the challenges to come.
Black Minds Matter their mission is to support in making mental health topics relevant and accessible for all black people in the U.K.
We aim to fulfil this by connecting black individuals and families with professional mental health services across the U.K. Proceeds will go towards covering the cost of therapeutic services.
*No donated funds will be used for the production or exhibition of the quilt.
**All funds will be divided between the 3 charities equally.
***As of 19th June 2020, we will be donating to 4 charities, and the donations will be divided equally.
