How much does stainless cost? We need you!

Valentina and Nicolò, farmers by choice, have been the owners of the agricultural company "Podere le Fornaci" since late 2016.

Our small enterprise, nestled in the heart of Chianti Classico, focuses on a small herd of selectively bred Alpine goats. We produce goat cheese and operate an agriturismo with a small restaurant that opens by reservation.

Our goal is to care for this beautiful piece of Tuscan countryside by self-producing part of the food we need. This includes managing a vegetable garden with a group of about ten people living in estate houses, as well as engaging in livestock farming and cheese production.
Additionally, we provide hospitality to both Italian and foreign clients, opening our farm for cheese tastings, lunches, or cheese-making demonstrations.

We believe in respect and well-being for animals and the surrounding environment, in farm work, and in genuine hospitality without any pretense.

Our community includes artists and musicians, and we enjoy organizing days dedicated to live music accompanied by rustic aperitifs featuring our products.

This year, we need to purchase essential technical equipment for cheese processing.
Podere le Fornaci, like all thriving businesses, requires constant investments to operate at its best. Some equipment in the dairy farm is quite old, malfunctioning, and inefficient.

Unfortunately, due to the rising cost of goods in the global economy and speculative bubble, the prices of many production goods, including alloys and particularly stainless steel, have skyrocketed.

Stainless steel is indispensable for us in the laboratory because it ensures durability and, most importantly, is easy to sanitize and corrosion-resistant.

We are looking to raise approximately €5500. As a small farm not making large profits, this is a significant amount for us - and this is why we need your help.

Your gift will help us purchase:
- A milk fridge for milk storage
- Two containers for transporting milk from the barn
- A mini pasteurizer for small-scale yogurt production and various types of cheese
- a 100-liter cauldron for processing soft and aged cheeses.
