Vivo in una situazione economica molto precaria da ormai quasi 4 anni. Sto cercando lavoro da 2 anni dopo che la mia attività come libera professionista è andata sempre più calando dopo 8 anni, al punto da arrivare a guadagnare poco meno di 5000 euro netti all'anno nel 2024 e nel 2025.

Purtroppo, fino ad ora non ho ricevuto offerte di lavoro. Vivere vicino a una città con poche prospettive professionali e senza possibilità di fare pendolarismo non aiuta.

Per forza di cose, devo vivere con mia madre. La sua pensione e quel poco che ancora riesco a guadagnare come libera professionista bastano a malapena per coprire le spese fisse, le bollette e la spesa. Amici e parenti ci aiutano come possono, ma ci sono periodi come questo in cui non ne hanno la possibilità.

Ho una serie di spese fisse personali che non posso evitare in nessun modo. Ho un totale di 230 euro al mese da pagare: una rata del dentista per un intervento importante improrogabile fatto nel 2021, e due rate INPS per un beneficio che non mi è stato sospeso appena non ne ho avuto più diritto, pur avendo fatto immediatamente tutte le comunicazioni del caso. I pagamenti da parte dell'INPS sono andati avanti per quasi 4 anni e hanno portato a un indebito sostanziale che ora devo restituire rateizzato e che non ho potuto pagare per intero.

La cifra che ho impostato per questo fundraising è quella minima che mi permetterà di coprire le spese fisse per il prossimo mese e mezzo, più alcuni soldi extra che userò per comprare i farmaci per il mio gatto.

Non chiedo più di quanto non sia strettamente necessario. Mi basta un mese e mezzo di respiro sia per me che per mia madre nella speranza di trovare lavoro a breve.

My financial situation for the last 4 years has been very precarious. I'm looking for a new job after my activity as a freelancer has degraded after 8 years, to the point where I earned a little less than €5000/year ($5700~) in both 2024 and 2025.

Unfortunately, until now nobody has offered me a job. Living near a city with little professional perspective and with no chance to commute doesn't help.

I'm forced to live with my mother. Her pension and what little I still earn as a freelancer are barely enough to cover fixed expenses, utility bills, and groceries. Friends and family help us to the best of their abilities, although there are moments like this when they really can't.

I have several fixed expenses I can't avoid in any way. I have a total of €230 ($260~) in monthly payments: 1 installment for an urgent major dental surgery I had in 2021, and 2 installments from the Italian National Social Security Institute, which kept sending me payments for a social benefit even though I had immediately communicated I was no longer entitled to it. These payments were sent for almost 4 years and accumulated a rather conspicuous debt I hadn't been able to repay in full.

The goal amount for this fundraising is the minimum that will allow me to cover my fixed expenses for this month that I haven't paid yet, and the next month's, plus additional money that I'll use to buy my cat's meds.

I don't ask for more than is strictly necessary. A month and a half's worth of breath for both my mother and me is enough, in the hope I'll find a job in a short time.
