Quadruple Your Impact: Marsha Owen Scholarship Fund Drive

A studio potter for over thirty-five years, Marsha Owen traced the origins of her career to a Penland workshop. Believing that “there is always something to learn from the clay,” she would return to Penland again and again to learn and to find inspiration.

In the wake of her untimely death in July 2023, Masha’s friends and family have come together to found a Penland scholarship for ceramic studying in her memory, celebrating her life and carrying on her legacy. The goal is to raise $65,000 creating an endowment which will fund the cost of a Penland clay workshop in perpetuity. Thanks for the generous support from Marsha's family and friends, $50,000 has been raised since the scholarship opened in December 2023 - 75% of goal!

To reach the final goal, I am launching this GoFundMe challenge! Your donation will be matched QUADRUPLE! For example, if you donate $100, the scholarship fund will receive $400. We only need to collect $3,750, which will be matched to $15,000, to reach the final $65,000 goal.
