January 29, 2018 was one of the best days of my life. Moving Day. I moved into my new apartment which was only 10 minutes away from my job. What more could I ask for. It was the beginning of a new chapter for me and my son. What came by the end of that week was unimaginable.

A massive fire broke out on Friday afternoon at my new apartment complex and my building was one of the buildings affected by the fire. I was at work during the time and once I was told my heart instantly dropped to my stomach. All I thought about was my son and my father who was currently watching him at the time.

I'm glad they were ok. My dad got them out in time with only the clothes on their backs. No coats, and my son was only in a T-shirt and pull up on when I got to the rental office.

We lost everything we owned that fast. I have never experienced anything so devastating. This money will be used to rebuild and replace what we lost. This will be a long process but anything you can contribute will be greatly appreciated.
