Medical Bills

On March 23rd my husband and I got our Covid Shots. Within 10 min of getting the shot my husband had a reaction which caused his appendix to become inflamed and needed to be removed. His appendix was removed on March 24th.  The reaction itself was recorded on the CDC as a servere adverse reaction that actually occurred in the trials of the Pfizer vaccine. Along with all that his incision never healed properly and he has had many appointments to figure out why the incision keeps reopening months later. The hospital is refusing to mark it as covid related even with all the study history of the vaccine and its side effects. Our insurance covered a majority of the bill except our deductible. We can't afford the $500 a month payment they want and that's the lowest they will take as a payment. After my husband's surgery on March 24th I had a scheduled surgery to repair a prolapse and a failed bladder sling that was put in 13 years ago. It was a needed surgery otherwise I would have canceled it. Due to changes at the hospital the surgery I had was outpatient and therefore wouldn't be 100% covered by my insurance as it was 13 years ago. The hospital wants another $150 payment for my medical bills monthly. Total the hospital needs $650 monthly or we will be sent to collections.  I don't like asking for handouts as my husband works hard fulltime and I am permanently disabled due to some medical issues I have. If we don't get these bills paid off I honestly do not know what we will do.
