North Coventry Odyssey of the Mind

Seven North Coventry Elementary students are headed to the Odyssey of the Mind (OotM) World Finals! We need your help to get them there!
After facing stiff competition at both the regional and state qualifying rounds, the Owen J. Roberts - North Coventry Elementary - Odessey of the Mind (OotM) team is headed to Iowa to compete on the world stage! Thousands of teams from around the world will descend on Iowa State University May 25th - 28th to see who will reign supreme!
Having the moxie...the gumption...the steel nerve...to pull off a flawless performance is only half of the equation needed to compete in the final stage...The OotM World Finals! Funding this journey is the other, and less glamorous, half. At this point, it is also the most important. As you may imagine, sending a group of seven students with their parents to escort them on this adventure is expensive. Unfortunately, funding rests solely with the team members.
The expenses add up quickly:
* Team registration fee: $3000
* Airfare to and from Iowa (on a holiday weekend)
* Car rental
* Lodging for four days
* Meals
* Shipping large props to the competition
The team has set a much needed goal of $25,000 and time is short! The competition begins in just 46 days.
While the competition does not allow the team members to receive any outside help with developing their solution, scripts, costumes or sets (these 4th and 5th grade students must do EVERYTHING on their own) you can help support their extraordinary efforts by offering some financial assistance.
Please help this team of fantastic kids climb the final mountain!

What is Odyssey of the Mind?
Odyssey of the Mind is an International program which engages students “by tapping into creativity, and through encouraging imaginative paths to problem-solving, students learn skills that will provide them with the ability to solve problems -- great and small -- for a lifetime. The Odyssey of the Mind teaches students how to think divergently by providing open-ended problems that appeal to a wide range of interests. Students learn how to identify challenges and to think creatively to solve those problems.”
Pennsylvania Odyssey of the Mind:
Pennsylvania is recognized as the most competitive state in which to compete. Pennsylvania holds the record for the most top five World Finals finishes! That is a record held over every other US state and every other competing country! Reaching the World Finals in Pennsylvania is an especially big deal!
