Hi friends and family. We are so grateful our home is still standing after terrible fires burned through 4,000-5,000 structures, many of which were only a few blocks North of us.

We have maxed out our renters insurance to cover air bnb and a few key items that will need to be replaced (couch, bed, curtains, rugs). However we are now looking at very expensive testing to assess the smoke damage (many toxic chemicals were released and absorbed into our home) and the need to hire professional smoke damage cleaning technicians. We are overwhelmed with expenses and are reaching out for support to access resources to ensure it is safe to move back, especially with our little Roy’s vulnerable lungs. Thank you all for rallying around us, we feel the love and are hopeful in time we will feel safe in our home again.
