Baby Nova Johnson, the infant daughter ofChase Johnson and granddaughter of Mercedes Johnson, recently underwent open-heart surgery in Dallas, Texas. While the surgery was a critical step in saving her life, Nova is expected to remain hospitalized for several months as she recovers and receives ongoing care.

This heartbreaking situation has placed an enormous emotional and financial burden on the family. Chase, a devoted young father, is doing everything he can to stay close to Nova, andMercedes has stepped in to help manage the constant travel back and forth betweenDaingerfield and Dallas. She has had to miss significant time from work and is incurring growing costs related to transportation, hotel stays, meals, and other basic needs.
