Todd Holland's Long Road to Recovery

Our longtime friend and Cocoa Beach resident, Todd Holland, a respected professional surfer and the friendly face behind School of Surf, experienced a serious accident recently. While working on a tree at his property, Todd fell nearly two stories from a ladder, resulting in significant injuries.

Todd sustained a broken neck, a broken back, multiple broken ribs, a fractured hip, a broken left arm, and a dislocated left elbow. He has already undergone several surgeries and is currently recovering in the ICU, dealing with considerable pain. Further medical procedures are expected.

His wife, Lauren, is by his side, offering constant support during this challenging time. Naturally, this situation brings with it concerns about their financial future, given the costs of medical care and diagnostic scans. Additionally, with the busy summer season approaching for their local small business, School of Surf, Todd's inability to work presents an added difficulty.

Todd's path to recovery will be lengthy, involving many months in the hospital and various stages of rehabilitation. He is currently experiencing numbness in his limbs, but his hope is to eventually be able to surf again with his grandchildren. It will be a long road ahead.
