TERRY NEEDS A CAR!
Hi, there, GFM folks! My name is Wes Kelley, and I'm both a musician and the sponsor of this campaign. The majority of musicians I know love what they do, which is to create, perform, and entertain. But unless you're in the top ½ of 1% of those who attain mega-stardom, most musicians struggle from gig to gig or session to session.
That pretty much describes my friend and fellow musician, Terry Shehorn, and, right now, TERRY NEEDS A CAR! While waiting for the COVID-19 restrictions to be lifted, Terry's old Ford SUV (which must have, like, a million miles on it), broke down. With no gigs or sessions bringing in the dough, there was no way to fix his aging car.
Now, his band Moondance is ready to entertain again, and Terry needs to get to rehearsals. There's one small problem.
TERRY NEEDS A CAR . . . NOW!
I've had the pleasure of working with Terry Shehorn on multiple projects, live and in the recording studio. Beyond being one of the most talented lead guitarists I've met on Monterey's Central Coast, Terry is also one of the kindest - generous with his time and dedication to go the extra mile to make sure a track gets done just right.
With a music career that spans over a half-century, beginning in 1965 with the internationally acclaimed band, "The E Types," Terry, who is now in his 70s, remains one of the hardest-working musicians out there. He can't wait to get back on stage. There's just one problem:
TERRY NEEDS A CAR!
It doesn't have to be a new car; it just needs to get the job done. The goals here are modest. Let's raise enough money to get Terry back on the road!
YOU CAN HELP!
Many are hurting financially right now. But even the smallest donation can make a BIG difference. That's why there's NO minimum on how much you can donate, other than those guidelines established by Go Fund Me. I hope you'll be generous.
Although this site doesn't require "backer" rewards, here's what I'll do:

THINK OF THIS AS TERRY'S ELECTRONIC TIP JAR . . . .
Help Terry with a donation of $50 or more. I'll send you a "Then and Now" cd or memory stick (your choice) with some of Terry's classic recordings from the 1960s, along with a 2020 reimagined cover of the Billy Joe Royal classic, "Down In The Boondocks." Terry does both the bass and lead work on this one and it's a blast from the past. You'll love it!
WHY AM I HOSTING THIS PAGE?
In 2016, I was diagnosed with Large B cell non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. Because of the financial generosity from Go Fund Me donors, my family and I had one less thing to worry about. This is my opportunity to pay it forward.
Thanks for your help because, what rhymes with "guitar?"
