Please help us ❤️

Hi, my name is Sarah and I am trying to raise some funds to help make my dad’s short time he has left here a bit better.

My dad is called Pete and he is 55, he would do anything for anyone, he has three children including me, and three grandchildren who are my children.

Within the past week he has been diagnosed with stomach cancer, the tumour then perforated and he nearly died, amazing surgeons at Salford Royal hospital saved his life and have given us a little bit of time with him. They cannot say how long he has left but they have said from experience it’s not usually long when a perforation happens and we could be looking at a maximum of a few months.

We have followed him around from the Monday we found out he had cancer and the whole situation has been traumatising. He had to be transferred to Salford as an emergency.

My dad looked after his mum (my grandma) who is 90 and she is now also in a different hospital so we have another complication in trying to manage to ensure she is also ok. She is heartbroken as her husband (my dad’s dad) also died from cancer at 57.

Unfortunately the cancer is advanced and has spread behind his stomach and into his liver. He is still in critical care but he has made good progress in recovering from the surgery and the infection in his abdomen caused by the perforation.

Given he is only 55 we were not prepared for this at all and we have nothing in place such as funeral plans or the funds to make this any easier.

We have had time off work and are now struggling and worrying about money and how we can fully support him, make his time memorable and keep up with all of our financial commitments.

Any money donated will be used to help with this and if we manage to get him home for a little bit, to make any adaptations he will need and then funeral costs.
