Love for Leo
Donation protected
It is with a heavy heart that I am organizing this page today. My Golden Retriever, Leo, was diagnosed with cancer this past Friday. I got Leo when he was just 8 weeks old. Today, Leo is 6. Over the past 6 years, Leo has been by my side through the highs and lows and has been my light at the end of the tunnel. He's been my shoulder to cry on, and my reason to smile for years now.
When I got the news, to say I was heartbroken would be an understatement. No one ever prepares to hear those words, especially when they pertain to your best friend. At this point in time, I am evaluating all options for treatment for Leo. He is in need of chemotherapy, or he will unfortunately but inevitably need to be put down.
Leo has touched the lives of countless friends, family members, and strangers he has come in contact with. If you have had the honor of meeting Leo yourself, you know what I mean here. Leo is more than just a dog, he is a reminder that there is beauty in this crazy life we live. With chemotherapy, Leo has an 80% chance of remission. We hope with all of our hearts we are able to hit our goal, but in the event we are not, we will be using all proceeds to keep him as comfortable and healthy as possible for as long as we can through alternative methods apart from chemotherapy.
Every little bit counts, please share.
