A Year of Loss — Please Help Maria & Her Family Rebuild
On June 7th, 2025, Maria, her son Alex, his sister, and their beloved dog Coco lost the home they had lived in for 36 years, when a devastating fire tore through it in the early morning hours.
They escaped with their lives — and nothing else.
They lost everything: their clothing, personal belongings, important documents, cherished memories — everything they had worked their entire lives to build.
Just months before this fire, they also suffered the heartbreaking loss of their beloved husband and father. Now, they are faced with the unimaginable pain of rebuilding their lives from scratch while still in the midst of grief.

What They Need Now
We’re humbly asking for help from our community to support Maria, Alex, and Coco during this incredibly difficult time.
Donations will go toward:
• Temporary housing
• Food and daily essentials
• Clothing
• Hygiene and personal care items
• Basic bills and recovery costs
Please note: Alex and his family have full access to this GoFundMe, and all donations go directly into their bank account.
If you are able to contribute in any way — financially, by sharing their story, or even through your prayers — it would mean the world.
⸻
Special Request
If anyone is able to assist with fire clean-up efforts, the family would be truly grateful. Any professional or volunteer help is a huge blessing as they begin this next chapter of recovery.
Please also note:
They are not able to accept furniture or large household items at this time, as there is currently no place to store them. Once they’re able to rebuild, those offers will be deeply appreciated.
⸻
From the Bottom of Their Hearts
Maria, Alex, and Coco are overwhelmed by the kindness and concern they’ve already received — from firefighters, emergency responders, friends, neighbors, and even strangers. Every gesture, large or small, reminds them that they are not alone.
Let’s keep lifting them up with our generosity, prayers, and love as they begin this long road to healing.
Thank you so much for your compassion.
From their family to yours — thank you.
