Help Monique’s family

On Friday, June 20, 2025, Monique received the news that so many women fear hearing - “you have breast cancer.” This was followed by “it’s treatable but aggressive”. Monique knew that in that moment, her life as she knew it was going to change.

As a single mother of 5 kids, she now needs to take the year off of work. As a yoga teacher at Modo, the heat and the possibility of germs is no longer safe for her.

Her children are trying to do what they can to support her and help her but even though they are young adults, they are still children. The goal is to not put more financial pressure on them so that they can be there emotionally for their mom as well as have space to go through their own journey of processing their mother’s illness.

Monique is a strong force and this go fund me page will hopefully give her permission to surrender to treatment, and take care of her body and soul, while we take care of her and her family financially.
