Help Jack Beat Cancer

Jack is not yet 4 years old.  His parents, Mike and Emily brought him to the doctor because of pain, never ever thinking the worst.  Less than 5 days after his first visit, he began chemotherapy.  Jack was diagnosed with a  malignant yolk sack germ cell tumor that had metastasized to his lungs.  Jack will have to undergo a series of chemo treatments.  They will involve 5 days of chemo with 16 days off.  Right now, he is in the hospital, largely due to pain management.  Mike and Emily hope that he can go home soon, between the chemo treatments.As Mike and Emily face the challenges ahead, they will both have to put working on hold. No one really knows what the range of medical expenses will be. We are asking for your help so that Mike and Emily can focus their energies on Jack.  They were reluctant to have us start this site as they feel blessed to have what they have.   They agreed to this only when we said that when this is done and Jack is well, if there is money they don't need, they can donate it to the cancer unit at the UVA Medical Center.   They can't thank the people at UVA enough who have helped them through these incredibly difficult first couple of weeks.
