Help a Single Mom Keep Her Home
Donation protected
Hi, I am a single mom in a bit of a financial crisis. I recently broke up with my long-term partner, and he has moved out of our rental home, leaving me with more rent than I can cover while I search for roommates.
I hate asking for help, but I’m doing everything I can and I need to keep this roof over my family’s heads. I have a contentious relationship with my children’s father, and if I lose my home, I could lose my time with my girls. I can’t allow that to happen.
I’ve been working really hard to prepare my house for roommates, and I have some promising prospects, but I most likely won’t have anyone ready to move in here until December 1, leaving me to scramble to cover November. My partner moved out at the end of October, and I just didn’t have time to find a roommate quickly enough, so here I am.
Thank you for reading this far, and for any help you may consider offering. I know there are so many people in this world in greater need than I am, and as always, I will do my best to pay it forward when I can.
Update: I’ve hit my goal in less than 24 hours, and I’m so grateful. Friends have recommended that I extend the goal to cover us for next month just in case, and I think that’s an excellent idea. It will be good to choose a roommate without the pressure of needing money immediately. It’s important to pick safe people to live with me and my girls.
Thank you, seriously, thank you so much.
