Danny Grigg's Prosthetic Fund
Donation protected
I would like to thank whom ever donated to this acct yesterday, from the bottom of my heart. It couldn't have came at a better time. My disability and Medicare is messed up, because of the crappy Govt... Thank you again for helping me. I love you all from the bottom of my heart. Hello everyone, and thank you for taking the time to read my story.......................... My name is Danny Grigg. I have been very blessed to do what I love most as my profession in life. I have fished on the Walmart FLW Pro Tour and I am the Landrum High School Fishing Team Coach.
I was diagnosed with Diabetes in 1996 and this is where my journey begins. On July 29, 2013 I had been fishing at Lake Hartwell and loaded my boat on the trailer. As I was walking to my truck my foot slipped and the bottom of my foot tore from my toes to the arch of my foot. I was admitted to the hospital and had surgery. From August 2013 till April 2014 I went to the wound care center three times a week for treatment.
In May 2014 I noticed that my toes were turning purple. I was admitted to the hospital and had surgery which resulted in amputation of the lower part of my right leg from just below the knee down.
In November 2014 my toes on my left foot began turning purple. I was again admitted into the hospital and my left leg was amputated from just below the knee down.
Although I am able to live on my own, I haven't been able to work due to the obvious fact that I can not walk or even drive. I do not have insurance, therefore I have applied for disability to try and get assistance with my medical bills so that I could get prosthetic legs and get my life back on track. I have been denied any disability assistance three times and I am now waiting to here the results of my fourth plea for assistance.
Currently, I have a prosthetic for my right leg. Unfortunately, I have not been able to pay for it, therefore I can not get a prosthetic for the left leg until I can get some financial assistance.
As prideful as I am, my family and friends have convinced me to allow others to help me during my time of need. Any donation, big or small will make a difference. If you are not in the financial position to donate, a prayer is always appreciated and welcomed.
Thank you,
Danny
