My name is Gillian, and I am a 46-year-old wife, mother, daughter, and sister. In 2024, I faced what I thought was my toughest battle yet when I was diagnosed with stage 3 colorectal cancer. After undergoing surgery and achieving an incredible recovery, I embraced a new approach to life and wellness.

For a while, everything seemed to be on the right track. However, a couple of months ago, I began to experience challenges again, and I recently received the devastating news that the cancer has recurred in the peritoneum, outside the bowel. This has come as a life-altering shock, not just for me but for my entire family.

I spent two weeks in the hospital, where I had a stent fitted in my kidney and an ileostomy bag placed in my small intestine. My healing journey will require a multi-faceted approach, as conventional care alone will not cover all the necessary costs.

I have set my sights on Hope 4 Cancer in Mexico, the world’s largest Integrative Oncology Center. They offer extensive lab testing and therapies, and their reputation in the integrative cancer care community is unparalleled. Unfortunately, the costs to receive treatment there range from €65,000 to €85,000, an overwhelming amount. However, I believe in the power of community, and I know that every contribution, big or small, will bring me closer to my goal of getting the care I desperately need.

Currently, I am unable to work, and our sole income is insufficient to cover the expenses of medications, scans, labs, and extensive care needed here in Ireland, let alone the journey to Mexico.

I never imagined I would find myself in this position, but then again, none of us do. I am reaching out for your help during this challenging time. I understand that many people are facing their own struggles, and any support you can provide will be deeply appreciated. Every contribution will go directly toward my recovery and empower me to fight with everything I have for my beautiful daughters, my amazing husband and our future together.
