Hello, my name is Jennifer Davis. I truly appreciate you taking the time to read this. I am setting up this GoFundMe to help support my very special friend Maria, who means the world to me and has sacrificed so much to ensure everyone else around her was taken care of.

Maria was found to have stage 4 colon cancer, which had spread to her liver, lymph nodes and uterus. Three weeks ago, on February 19, 2025, she had a full hysterectomy to remove the cancer from her uterus. During the procedure, the doctor discovered a cancerous tumor in her colon, and part of her colon was removed. We recently learned that surgery is not an option for her liver lesion. She will receive chemotherapy for three days, followed by eleven days off, and then repeat the process for the following three months. The doctor has informed her that the surgery to remove the liver cancer is not a possibility. Chemotherapy is her only choice. Because of the type of Chemotherapy she is undergoing, she is unable to work.  She is the sole provider for her youngest daughter. 

Just to share a little about who Maria is, she is a dedicated mother to her 16-year-old daughter, who tragically lost her father two years ago. She also has two older daughters, whom she worked tirelessly to support, often juggling multiple jobs to provide for her family.

Those of you who know Maria personally know what a strong and incredible woman, mother, Yia Yia, and friend she is. This has been a very tough road up to this point, and she has a very long road ahead of her.
