It is with the heaviest of hearts that I’ve made this account in hopes of gathering donations for my beloved grandfather’s cancer treatment. For over 5 years my grandpa has fought tirelessly to overcome thyroid cancer and other challenging surgical procedures. After a short glimpse of hope, his health has declined again and he’s now up against a very aggressive stage 3 cancerous tumor in one of his kidneys. Since such kidney isn’t functioning well, there’s now a delicate complication with fluids in his lungs which requires immediate attention. This is the beginning of yet another battle against a different cancer, and we could not have possibly been financially or emotionally ready for such heart wrenching news. Our grandfather is our world. He’s a warrior, he’s a gentle loving man with integrity, honor, and a whole lot of fight left in him. He’s the glue that holds our family together, and despite fearing for his life and being in agonizing pain, he’s still holding onto his precious life. As his family, we too must keep fighting beside him which is exactly what this fundraiser is aimed to do.

It is very important for me that you’re all aware that my family isn’t just sitting at home ludicrously asking for money. We’re fully aware of the responsibility we all hold to fund my grandfathers’ medical expenses but as I mentioned before, my grandfather has an extensive medical record which has been funded by his loving family. We’ve been fighting this battle alone for a long time, and despite our hard work, all those years of care have made our finances struggle to keep up. We are all continuing to work behind the scenes in many different ways to make ends meet. We know the value of hard work and we know nothing comes easy which is why we appreciate all forms of support including donations, the sharing of this fundraiser, prayers, or supporting our other efforts to gather funds.
