My daughter had what I thought was a horrible seizure after not being able to sleep for 7 days. We called the ambulance for her; they were wonderful and took us to the children's hospital. We were only there for maybe an hour, and they discharged us because we have Medicaid. We then called my daughter's doctor, and he told me to take her to "the best doctors in Columbia and Charleston, South Carolina." We were there all day long. They did nothing as her body completely locked up, muscles as tight as they could get. Some lasted an hour. I had to sit as my daughter suffered, and they did nothing. Finally, I had to scream at the top of my lungs, "Help her, please!" They finally tried to help, then immediately discharged her. She had these attacks all the way down the hallway as we wheeled her out. It was awful.
We need all the help we can get. I'm the caretaker of my husband's father, who is 79. He has heart failure and needs oxygen constantly. We are a family of 5, with 1 person working and 2 kids in school. This is just the beginning of her journey. We need donations to get her better medical care. We also want to move out of this horrible state! Thank you❤️
