Lincoln’s Surgery

I’m Amber. I’m Lincoln’s mom.

This all started when it got to the time where Lincoln should be talking, drinking out of sippy cups and eating real people food. He also refuses his face being touched, brushing his teeth and even letting you help him do anything.

When we addressed concerns they automatically threw in that he needs to be seen by early intervention because he might be on the spectrum. While in said program he has seen quite a few different people all with different specialties.

Fast forward a few months and one of his therapists suggest we have Lincoln see a dentist people she was concerned of a tongue tie. Prior to this we have had the doctors on many occasions if they thought the reason he wasn’t talking was that- they said no.. so at first we were skeptical. Not to mention Link hates anything that has to do with his face.

So we schedule a dentist appointment he gets checked out and infact he does have a tongue tie AND a lip tie. Making it EXTREMELY hard to eat because his tongue can’t help his mouth move the food to his throat. And the lip tie could be one of the many reasons he’s not talking yet.

He is scheduled for surgery which he has to be under because of the restrictions to his face. Regardless this is an unexpected expense and with rent, heat, and food (Lincoln has been living off of pediasure- which isn’t cheap) but between all the expenses we are afraid this one will be hard to squeeze.

if there is anything over it will be going towards the rest of his medical bills.
