Today has been one of the hardest days of our lives, today our world was turned upside-down. Today we received the news that David has Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma (DLBCL). David has an extremely large mediastinal tumor (center of his chest), this mass has encroached on his trachea, narrowed the large vessels in his upper chest, and has caused fluid to accumulate around his heart. David will need to start treatment Monday morning. He had a bone marrow biopsy performed today and will have a PET scan in the morning - these tests along with lab results will provide the doctor the information he needs to complete staging the cancer. This is a very aggressive tumor and extremely rare (mediastinal primary tumor). The doctor wants to treat this tumor very aggressively because we are going for a CURE! His chemotherapy will start Monday morning - he will have to remain in the hospital to receive it, he will be there for 5 days. He will have to repeat this cycle every 21 days and he will need 4 - 6 cycles. Please keep David, Caitlin, Kaden, and Jordan in your thoughts and prayers, send them good vibes, and help us fight this! We need all of our warriors to march with us into battle because this, my friends, will be the fight of our lives.
