"It is a new day and it is ours. A day of new beginnings..." We chose these words to put on our wedding announcement in 1988. Little did we know, 26 years later, there would be a second new beginning.
After being laid off from seasonal employment, my husband, Jamie, had the first of what was to be two ankle surgeries. A week after the first surgery, he had a seizure and 911 was called. Testing confirmed a dire prognosis: DVT(large blood clot in his leg) and large saddle pulmonary embolism(large blood clot in his lung). It is truly by God's grace that he is here still! He will be on medication for at least 9 months, after which they will try to determine why this happened and IF the second ankle surgery can be done. In the meantime, he is unable to work, nor can he collect any kind of compensation. We do not know if he will ever be able to work again because of the multiple ankle surgeries and the saddle embolism. It will be at least 90 days before we will know if he will be approved for disability. Because of the extremely high costs of his hospitalization and care, we are asking for financial help. We also need to find another place to live, one that does not have steps and is affordable on a single income.
We are committed Christians who believe God will be glorified through our circumstances. Would you please consider helping us by donating and sharing our story?
Many thanks and much gratitude,
James and Tina Reecer
