This week somehow marks four years since our beautiful mother passed away. Around this time each year, I find myself drawn to the beach - a place she loved, a place where I feel closest to her. Recently, while visiting, I noticed a new community project underway; engraved, covered picnic tables. It feels like the perfect way to honor her.

My brothers and I have decided to dedicate one of these tables in her memory. A headstone never felt quite right for our situation, but this - this feels like her. A space for us to sit, reflect, laugh, cry, and remember the happy times. A spot others can enjoy too, just as she would have wanted.

While we plan to contribute as much as we can, we wanted to open the door for any friends or family who may want to be a part of this tribute. If you are in a place where you are able and feel called to contribute, any amount would be so appreciated.
