Hi, Maryellen here, unfortunately holding my hat out again. This time is for myself. As most of you know, I’m on a fixed income via Social Security disability. I live on about $1200 per month. For the past two years I have had to pay out of pocket for one of the many medications that I have to take.
At $60/month the expense has been really mounting. I have been fighting with my insurance company and Medicare to get reimbursed and to have the medication covered in the future had submitted a reimbursement form last week. I just got the denial (see pictures). I’m going to continue to appeal this but it’s not looking good. I was really counting on this reimbursement to help me catch up with my electric bill, rent and to replace a desperately needed washing machine. But I don’t know where else to turn and it’s so humiliating to have to do a fundraiser for myself like this. If my finances were not in such dire straits I wouldn’t ask but I’ve been having to borrow money from my daughters almost every month and they are barely getting by themselves. So if you can help, even just a few dollars, I’d be so very grateful. Thank you for taking the time to read this and share it if you think it’s appropriate ❤️
