Having the privilege of education is something we all take for granted, but with that comes a great responsibility. My name is Daniel Hagemann, and I would love for you to hear my vision.
I grew up in Zimbabwe, a place where children every day are living the same cycles of poverty we often choose to ignore; and by God's grace, I have an incredible opportunity to try and change that - but I need your help!
After studying for a few years trying to complete a degree in Graphic Design, I have been faced with the question of 'what am I going to do with my education?' and with that I have decided to create a curriculum using design, to allow children to learn a set of tools and skills that will enable them to pull their way out of poverty. My vision is for those children to be able to dream and create to become the solution, rather than grow up in a society that relies on others to help them, when they have just as much potential to help themselves and those around them.
My last several months of studying are going to be used in the creation, development, and completion of this curriculum for the third world, and the money raised is strictly for my last and final payment in order to graduate in May of 2016. I pray that you will consider joining me on this journey both now and in the future!
As an artist, I am using this as a way to offer my talents with the donations that come in, so if you are looking to fill your blank walls with some of my pieces then I would love to work with you on any custom originals and prints you may want. By partnering with an organization called 'Victorious' victoriousproject.com, this curriculum will hit the ground running once completed as they focus on the importance of education within Zimbabwe. Any money raised over and above my college tuition will go directly toward this incredible organization.
