UPDATE 4: I took Ivy to the vets on Monday 21st October to find out Ivy is unwell to go through surgery at this time sadly she has fluid around her lungs and heart which is dangerous and sadly wouldn’t survive the long anaesthetic to have both eyes removed as Ivy sadly deteriorated the past week waiting for her surgery so both eyes need removing I am heartbroken beyond words, but Ivy will no longer be suffering she will always have a special place in my heart and she will always be remembered. RIP Ivy 24.10.24 you gained your angel wings xxxx

UPDATE 3: I took Ivy to another vets yesterday 10/10 who said her ulcers are actually healing which is fantastic!! The vet who said to out Ivy to sleep didn’t even touch her the vets were PDSA, they looked at Ivy’s notes from previous consultations look at her and said nothing we can do the vets I seen yesterday said Ivy’s right eye is blind and is the worst which we know, they said they need to remove the right eye and send it of for analysis so we can see what’s going on / what the problem is, this will help to treat the left eye quicker!! The cost of all this is £1500 and needs to be done ASAP I do not have that kind of money so quick for this so any help will be appreciated

UPDATE 2: So I took Ivy today to the vets for a further opinion this will be the fourth vet I’ve seen now and unfortunately there’s nothing more they can do to help her. The outcome I was hoping for I won’t get as she’ll never be herself again The medication she’s on is not improving her eyes whatsoever. Her quaility of life the past 3 weeks has deteriorated drastically she won’t eat, drink, walk etc the way she’s living is no quality of life. I could have her right eye removed however the left eye is now just as bad so both eyes would need to be removed which sounds OK as she’ll be still with us but I feel that’s not a good life for a dog to live especially one who’s always had perfect vision and what comes with that is she’ll need a full time carer which again is so hard to comprehend I just don’t know what to do and any advice would be appreciated regarding a blind dog. The vets have said the best thing is for Ivy to be put to sleep, Ivy would be saying her last goodbyes to her family on Thursday 10/10 if that’s the plan. I absolutely adore Ivy with every inch of me this has broke my soul completely and I don’t think I’ll ever fully recover from this Am I doing the right thing I really don’t know I’ve never experienced anything like this. Thankly I have my little 6month old Loochie who can comfort me but he will be just as sad and confused as mummy. Sending all my love to anyone going through similar circumstances.

UPDATE 1: So I took Ivy today 1st October to the ophthalmologist who performed an ultrasound on both of her eyes, the right eye is the worst which we knew anyway. She has ulcers in both eyes & suffering from really bad inflammation her current meds optimmune & ocry-gel are helping with pain and dryness however not fixing the problem regarding her ulcers/ swelling/ redness. The vets are struggling with this and think unfortunately for Ivy she may have a tumor behind her right eye but can’t be confirmed without sending of for a biopsy. Sadly for me due to the vets suspecting this being caused due to her allergic reaction back in August it’s classed as a pre existing problem so isn’t covered by insurance now and will cost between £1000 - £1300 so I am struggling with what to do as the vet said it could be an option for her eye to be removed as they don’t have any idea right now what could improve it or if it could be improved at all. Ivy is my whole world and I just want her back to her usual playful self and for her to live the life she deserves thank you for all your continued support

Hi, my name is Chloe and I am creating this fundraiser to help save my dog’s life. My 3 year old French bulldog Ivy, is fully vaccinated and was perfectly healthy. She now has sudden onset of Spasmodic Entropion Syndrome cause unknown but suspected from a previous allergic reaction. (Which I paid £650 for her allergic reaction treatment) This condition causes her eyes to go in on themselves causing severe swelling/redness, she can’t open her eyes at all and if left untreated it can also lead to a corneal ulcer (which she has in both eyes) which then can become infected and lead to a severe loss of vision if does not receive prompt treatment it can lead to completed blindness. Ivy also has a 4 out of 6 heart murmur so she also needs heart scan/ potential surgery. I am destroyed by this news as Ivy is my whole world. Ivy loved going out for long walks, enjoyed playing with other dogs & absolutely loved eating her food. She now won’t eat, she’s vomiting, she won’t walk and has to be carried everywhere this is sudden and unexpected, this is due to her health condition and deteriorating health. The vets have given me every medication to help her but it has not, the only option left is surgery which is costing around £2,000 any contributions is to help towards Ivys surgery/treatment. I am praying I can give her this to save her life I can’t give up on her just yet! I can’t imagine the pain she must be feeling it breaks my heart!!! She doesn’t deserve to live like this and for her life to end so soon. I appreciate anything as little as £1 please please help me save Ivy's life ❤️
