Honoring Our Mother’s Final Wishes

Our beloved mother has gained her wings. Our hearts are broken, but we are determined to honor her the way she always wanted — with dignity, respect, and love.

Throughout her life, our mother made two wishes very clear: she never wanted to be placed in a nursing home, and she did not want to be cremated. She carried a deep fear of fire, and cremation was something she never wanted for herself. As a family, we were able to honor her first wish while she was alive, and now we want to fulfill the second by giving her a proper funeral and burial alongside our loved ones in Missouri.

The challenge we face is that she passed away here in Kentucky, and we must transport her to Missouri so she can be laid to rest with family. While our mom did have a small insurance policy for $5,000, it does not come close to covering the full cost of funeral arrangements, burial, and transportation.

We are asking for $13,500 to help bridge this gap. These funds will go directly toward:

• Funeral and burial services

• Transportation from Kentucky to Missouri

• Grave opening and closing costs

• Casket and related expenses
