I have known Heather since middle school and she is the best friend a girl could wish for. We have been through it all.....
Heather fell on February 19, 2015 and broke and dislocated her elbow. As you know, she is a hair stylist and has not been able to work. When we were sitting in the Emergency Room on that first night, I concentrated on her pain and recovery; Heather worried about everything but herself. She worried about how she would care for her two sons and how would she survive without being able to work. She has not worked in six weeks and she has begun to feel the "real life" effects of this burden.
The bi-weekly appointments to a surgeon only added to her discouragement as she could not drive and was told she will need weeks of physical therapy. She opted to not have surgery and endure the pain to afford herself full-range of motion in the future; hoping to return to work good as new. She was to begin physical therapy this week, but an emergency with her son's health took presidence.
Heather is the strongest girl I know and without a doubt, will pull through this. However, I am reaching out to her Facebook family and friends to ask for a heartfelt "Push" in the right direction!!!
