Caiohme Dane' Bourdon made her early appearance on March 26th at 10:21pm. Only 33.5 weeks, she weighed in at only 4lbs 9 oz . Shortly after birth she was taken to the NICU for close monitoring and has been there ever since. Her dedicated parents, Logan and Bailey, have stayed at the hospital every night, watching over her and visiting her often.
Caiohme has done exceptionally well given the circumstances, but on her 2nd day of life she had a feeding tube put in and more recently she had to be put under phototherapy for jaundice. There are a few things still standing between her and coming home, such as feeding on her own and maintaining her own temperature. We know that she will overcome these obstacles, just as she has all others, and we are hoping and praying that she will get to come home very soon.
Unfortunately, the cost of all of this care is quickly adding up. NICU bills are no joke. Bailey would like to stay home with Caiohme as long as possible once she does come home, but financial concerns may prevent her from being able to take off more time from work. Please know that first and foremost your prayers are appreciated. Secondly, any donations would be so greatly appreciated as well! Thank you!
