My name is Bella and I’m 22 years old. On February 10th 2022 my life changed forever. I was rushed to the hospital due to a heath condition I had. I ended up needed a heart surgery to save my life. After waking up within the span of three days I had become paralyzed. I lost function in everything from my core down. After months in hospital and rehab facilities I got the strength to go home and learn to live my life in a wheelchair. I've gained so much strength since 2022 and I am on a mission to walk again. I'm on my way to prove every doctor that told me I won't walk again wrong. I started going to this gym that specializes in treating people with paralysis and I was making tons of progress but I am now at the point where I need to get an education and build a future for myself and cannot put full focus on recovery. I have been in college and I am unable to go to the gym as it is far away. I want to keep my progress up and need more adaptive equipment to live my day to day life independently and I am now in need of new wheelchair as my current one doesn’t fit me anymore and causes a lot of pain due to being to big and not giving me much back support. Any amount of donations will help me get more support on me living my life again, help with my expenses, and accessible equipment to get me to walk again.
