Surviving the Loss of a Child
Donation protected
Hi My name is Amanda Craven
I want to start off by saying on May 11th my son ,Mason, and I were involved in a car accident . This accident instantly took the life of the lady who was driving the other vehicle. I'm very sorry. My condolences are with her family during this tragic time. On May the 18th my son ,Mason, passed away as well.
So far, this has been the absolute hardest thing I've ever had to go through. My son was almost 3 years old. He was so handsome. He had the best heart. He kept such a happy spirit no matter what. Mason loved riding tractors at the farm. Or going to the pond house. He loved splashing in muddy puddles. No matter what Mason was a mamas boy . He never wanted to leave my side. As soon as I was out of his eye sight he would instantly come find me. He was absolutely the best gift god has ever given me. Besides his older brother ,Peyton, who is almost 4 years old. Peyton was with his father at the time so he was not in the truck with us this morning.
My life has completely been turned upside down and inside out. I feel completely lost without him. I have a very hard time sleeping at night without my snuggle bunny. I miss my Masonman so much. No words can express the feeling of experiencing losing a child. It is absolutely devastating. I know I will pull through this somehow. I want to turn my life over to God. I want to start going to a church but haven't decided which one.
Mason was an organ donor so his legacy will live on.
I have a few broken ribs and collapsed lung (that is better now)
I also had to have an open ankle fix surgery . (That's not the correct terminology)
I have pins and needles in my ankle . I am now in a wheelchair having to relearn how to do every day to day function. Most of all I am having to learn how to go on with my life without my youngest son.
I am not able to work because I am in a wheelchair for now . The doctor said my ankle should heal up in 10-12 weeks and I should be on my feet again figuratively and physically.
I am asking for help for items like this
- I want to get a little bit nicer urn than the standard one they give at the funeral home
- I also wanted to get a necklace that stores the ashes in the necklace, so that way no matter where I go I always have my little man with me.
- Due to the accident my food stamps got cut off and we are starting to run low on groceries
- The normal day to day items are running low as well, paper towels, toilet paper, laundry detergent, shampoo and conditioner, trash bags, dish soap, bleach, disefectant spray
- Rent is due in 1 week
- Lights and the water bill are due
- My truck was totalled so now I have to find rides to my doctor's apps that includes gas money to the driver who was so nice enough to lend me a ride
If you would rather buy the items needed instead of donating money I'm open to that as well.
I can provide any info needed to pay anything towards bills
Or can give you the address to drop off the donated items.
Once again I'd like to thank anyone in advance for helping me out during this time.
Rest in Peace
My beautiful baby boy
